Can I use my own storage batteries?

I have a newly installed 14.4kw system from Enphase. At this point it feeds exclusively to the grid. I would like to add battery storage and already have a number of storage batteries. Can I use some kind of Enphase interface with these batteries or do I have to buy the complete storage solution from Enphase? Thanks for any assistance.
